Since it was summer time for us here in Greece we had to postpone this interview for almost a month being on a holiday ourselves.
Now, is the time to publish Bas Koole intervie as he is currently based at Cumbuco, Brazil.(i think many of us are a bit jealous of him right now)

The Paros Kiteboard World Cup 2008 has been under the TV spotlights for 2 days! The competition went live the whole week-end on the Greek TV channel Mega and no doubt that the spectators have got lots of adrenaline and show.
On Saturday morning, right after the 10 o’clock skippers meeting, we launched the first course racing.
The show on Pounda beach was just amazing: top riders in a kiteboarding paradise ! With a growing wind going from 20 to 30 knots at the end of the day, the KPWT had the perfect conditions to run course racing and hang time.
Jesse Richman, the rising star from Hawaï, just flew on the water and broke his own record in the last race. The Frenchies Vincent Tiger and Antoine Auriol went also very well and finsihed 2nd and 3rd.
On the women side, Kristin Boese, the 2007 KPWT World Champion, who has just recovered from her broken ankle, proved again that she will do her outmost to keep the title. She won the two races, followed by Ania Grzelinska from Poland and Kari Schibevaag, from Norway.
We finished the Saturday competition with a Hang Time Session. A little bit of fun after the exhausting racing session!

Despite this very long competition day the riders, the staff and the public staid on the beach and enjoyed a great Beach Party offered by the local organization.
Sunday, 12.45, let’s come back to the Freestyle single elimination for Men and Women.
To complete the single elimination of men and women, 10 heats will be run. Each heat lasts 7 minutes and there are only 3 minutes transition between 2 heats. 3 minutes to get ready and 7 minutes to win!
The Spanish rider Ainhoa Garcia proved that she is determined to reach the highest step of the podium by winning this first round.
On the men side, the struggle was very tight. Miguel Willis from Australia really pushed hard to reach the 3rd step of the podium. The Belgian Leander Vyvey felt really at ease on the water and managed to win the 2nd place. Nevertheless, the one who surprised everybody and made the difference is Sander Lenten from Holand. He went through his heats successfully and finished 1st.
