Crandon Park Beach Now Open to Kiteboarding - Tuesday, September 02, 2008South Florida Kiteboarding and our franchise affiliate, Miami Kiteboarding, are proud to announce that our Crandon Park concession is once again open to kiteboarding for the October to May windy season. This world class location has specific rules which which will be strictly enforced by a full time on-site administrator. Note that unless you are taking lessons with our school, you need IKO level 3 or equivalent certification and insurance to ride at Crandon Park. Learn With The Latest 2009 Gear! - Wednesday, August 27, 2008southfloridakiteboarding.com is now teaching with brand new 2009 Cabrinha Switchblade and Convert IDS kites. These kites offer the best of both the classic "C" shape kites and the safety and depower features of a newer style "bow" kite. New for 2009 is a safer bar setup, simplified bridle and more convinient instant depower features. We also offer lessons on Slingshot and Best bow style kites and also teach with the older "C" style kites on request.

Miami Kiteboarding Masters and Kite For Girls 2008 Event - Wednesday, April 02, 2008Southfloridakiteboarding.com is proud to sponsor and host the annual Miami Kiteboarding Masters and Kite For Girls event on Saturday, April 12th and 13th, 2008 at Crandon Park, Key Biscayne.
The event is a two day extravaganza, gathering the men's and women's kiteboarding community in Miami and South Florida from beginners to advanced riders. The goal of the event is to show the accessibility of the sport of Kiteboarding. All levels will be featured, including free discovery clinics, exhibitions from top ranked Kiteboarding Men's and Women's Champions, Boardercross Races and Best Trick . No wind is no problem at southfloridakiteboarding.com. Join us for a session at the Cable Park to work on basic kiteboard skills, upwind riding and turning technique. The Cable Park is an aerial cable which pulls you around a freshwater lake. The Cable simulates kiteboarding like nothing else on the planet. Let us follow you with our boats as you learn to ride upwind! Florida's most complete boat assisted kiteboarding service with air tanks/compressors on board to quickly inflate your kite. Our boat accessible sandbars are perfect in all wind directions and are the only option when the winds are Westerly.
The service is ideal for students who completed their lessons and need more practice to reach IKO level 3 (staying upwind).
